Americhem, a global leader in custom polymer solutions, recently celebrated the opening of its new clean compounding facility in Suzhou. The investment expands Americhem’s ability to support customers in China, across Asia-Pacific, and around the world who manufacture in the region.
Designed to meet ISO 13485 and cGMP requirements for demanding medical device applications, the facility expands Americhem’s global clean compounding network alongside its existing certified capabilities in the United States and Denmark. It brings reliable production, consistent quality, and technical support closer to healthcare OEMs to develop and manufacture highly regulated products.
“The expansion of our Suzhou facility strengthens our ability to serve customers globally while bringing Americhem’s technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities closer to customers in Asia-Pacific,” said John Richard, CEO at Americhem. “This investment reflects our commitment to global continuity, regional responsiveness, and the quality standards our healthcare customers rely on.”
“Our customers need more than local production. They need a material solutions partner who understands their technical requirements, quality expectations, and growth objectives,” said Rose Tu, Vice President of APAC at Americhem. “The Suzhou facility allows us to collaborate more closely with customers in China and support the same quality, reliability, and service they expect from Americhem worldwide.”
Healthcare is a leading growth market for Americhem, driven by demand for biocompatible, sterilization-durable, traceable, and regulatory-ready materials. Americhem solutions are used in self-care and home healthcare devices, glucose monitors, surgical instruments, and components for robotic-assisted surgery. Its clean compounding network supports customers from material selection and prototyping through qualification, commercialization, and regional scale-up, with consistent support across manufacturing locations.
