To enable faster, easier and more flexible RNA-to-cDNA synthesis, Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced Invitrogen™ SuperScript™ V Reverse Transcriptase, a next-generation engineered reverse transcriptase.
SuperScript V combines strong performance with room-temperature stability and simpler setup. Available as a standalone enzyme and in ready-to-use master mix formats, it supports workflows ranging from individual experiments to high-throughput and automated cDNA synthesis.
Reactions can be prepared at room temperature, with assembled reactions remaining stable for up to 24 hours, giving researchers more flexibility to batch samples, manage delays and support manual, high-throughput and automated workflows.
With room-temperature stability, labs can assemble and hold reactions for up to 24 hours, so those batching large sets or running automated systems can prep in advance without performance loss. That flexibility, combined with reaction times as short as 1 to 10 minutes, lets labs move through more samples with less setup time.
The enzyme is also thermostable up to 65°C for templates prone to secondary structure, and the DTT-free formulation removes a preparation step. It is available as a standalone enzyme or ready-to-use master mix format that supports workflows from individual experiments to high-throughput, automated cDNA synthesis.
