The Taiwan Excellence Awards, launched by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1993, recognise products based on criteria including R&D, design, quality and marketing. The award is intended to represent the capabilities of Taiwan's industries and the quality of its products.
For healthcare, this provides a useful lens through which to view Taiwan's wider innovation ecosystem.
The companies presented under the Taiwan Excellence banner represent different applications of technology, but share a common proposition: that Taiwanese innovation can translate engineering and technological capabilities into solutions designed for real-world healthcare needs.

At Medical Fair Asia 2026, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion will place particular emphasis on smart medical solutions, precision medicine and healthcare innovation. These themes will be central to the pavilion's opening programme and VIP media tour.
