GE HealthCare inks MoU with A*STAR's Institute of Materials Research and Engineering

To explore developing new medical devices and application technologies

American multinational medical technology company GE HealthCare and Singapore-based A*STAR's Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore developing new medical devices and application technologies. 

This new collaboration will focus on research and development, manufacturing, education, and knowledge exchange.
 
Established in 1997, IMRE has built strong capabilities in the areas of polymeric & organic materials, composite & structural materials, advanced materials characterisation & fabrication, optics and electronics.

A few weeks back, IMRE had announced a collaborative research in bioprinting and energy harvesting with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) to collaborate on “3D Bioprinting of Biomaterials for Soft-hard Tissue Interfaces” and “3D Printing of Energy Materials” research projects.
