Singapore's NUS Medicine signs MoU with Semmelweis University in Budapest

The Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS Medicine) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Semmelweis University. The ceremony took place at the Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary.

The signing was represented by Professor Chong Yap Seng, Dean of NUS Medicine, and Professor Béla Merkely, Rector of Semmelweis University. The MoU aims to establish the universities’ intent to collaborate with each other in key areas of mutual interests, including research, as well as faculty and student exchange programmes.

The Semmelweis Symposium 2022 was held in conjunction with the signing ceremony. This is an annual scientific event organised by Semmelweis University that presents the latest scientific results and innovations and serves as a forum for international knowledge transfer and networking. This year’s Symposium was organised around the 40th anniversary of international medical education at Semmelweis University covering a wide range of topics, such as anti-cancer treatment, cardiovascular medicine and oral health.
