National University of Singapore (NUS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia’s Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech).

The MOU was signed by NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye and Skoltech President Professor Alexander Kuleshov during the 11th Session of the High-Level Russia-Singapore Inter Governmental Commission.

Established in 2011, Skoltech is a leading graduate research institute in Russia that was founded by world-renowned scientists in partnership with MIT. Skoltech aims to bridge the gap between research and industry, promote entrepreneurial activity, and foster cutting-edge research.

With the MoU signing, the doors are now open to foster deeper academic and research collaboration among faculty members and graduate students between NUS and Skoltech. These include research networking events, student-exchange programs, joint development of graduate educational programs, and a broader engagement of leading Russia-based research faculty, institutions, and industry partners.
