Cigna Provides Special Extension Coverage Measures for COVID-19

Committed to improving the health, well-being and peace of mind of the people we serve in Singapore, Cigna is extending its medical outpatient coverage to include telehealth services

Cigna Corporation’s Singapore business, on 27 Feb 2020 announced the special extension coverage measures for its customers in response to the ongoing COVID-19, novel coronavirus outbreak.

Committed to improving the health, well-being and peace of mind of the people we serve in Singapore, Cigna is extending its medical outpatient coverage to include telehealth services for all members of Cigna Global Health Benefits corporate plan during the coronavirus outbreak with immediate effect until 1st June 2020.

Cigna medical plans already cover medically necessary claims related to infectious diseases and medical conditions per the policy terms and conditions. The additional telehealth services cover doctor’s consultation fees (via telephone or video) as well as the prescription drugs as per the benefit limits as long as it is medically necessary and is used for the diagnosis or treatment of a covered condition outlined in the outpatient benefits plan.
