Pharmexcil announces outstanding exports awards
Pharmexcil: India will achieve the target of 17 billion dollars of pharma exports by the end of 2015
Singapore: Indian Pharmexcil recently announced awards for outstanding export performances in the bulk drugs and formulations category, for the year 2013-14. Of the 150 applications, Lupin, Aurobindo and Mylan bagged top awards for their exceptional performance.
Mumbai- based Lupin received the 'all-round performer' award, while Aurobindo Pharma and Mylan Laboratories have been judged as leading bulk drugs and formulations exporters respectively.
The award for mid-range emerging companies were given to Laurus Labs and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. Apotex research and Sanofi India were recognized as mid-range formulations doing excellent export business.
Fourrts (India) Laboratories has bagged an award under emerging company category. The award for leading exporters of biopharmaceuticals was received by Hyderabad-based Biological E.
Further Suven Life Sciences received an award as the leading contract research and manufacturer for the year 2013-14. Sami Labs and ACG- Associated Capsules have bagged outstanding export awards under herbals and excepients categories, while Omni Active Health Technologies, has bagged an award under the Nutraceuticals category.
At the distribution ceremony, Dr P V Appaji, director general, Pharmexcil, said, "These awards are a token of encouragement to the pharma companies that are doing excellent business. I am confident that India will achieve the target of 17 billion dollars of pharma exports by the end of 2015."
