Bangalore: Hyderabad will host an Asia Pacific International Pharma Business Meet between September 26 and 28, 2012. The annual event to be organized by Pharmexcil is in its eighth edition this year.

The event will see participation of importers and buyers of drugs in the Asia Pacific region apart from officials from regulatory bodies of various countries. The meet will cover the 12 major Asia-Pacific region: Australia, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Keeping in view the opportunities available for the Indian pharma to improve its export performance, the council is inviting about 60 buyers from the above countries. The event will comprise technical presentations by FDA and drug regulatory officials of various Asia Pacific countries. Plant visits will be organized for the FDA and drug regulatory authorities, depending upon their availability.

There will also be an exhibition of Indian companies at the venue during the all three days. The CEO conclave will be held on September 27, 2012, and the closing ceremony will be attended by Minister for Commerce & Industry and the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. The last date for registration is September 15, 2012.
