Wipro GE Healthcare has launched their first ever GE-SonoSim Simulation Centre Of Excellence (CoE) Lab in the South Asia Region at MGM Institute of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai, in India.
SonoSimprovides scalable technology to train medical professionals and students in ultrasonography, using real patient cases spanning a broad spectrum of normal and pathologic conditions.
This collaboration focuses on providing enhanced education services to medical professionals who aspire to learn ultrasonography from women’s health and cardiology to point of care and primary care.
The SonoSimUltrasound Training Solution is a portable and comprehensive laptop-based ultrasound training platform that offers a curriculum of 60-plus cloud-based courses, image acquisition and interpretation training using the SonoSimulator and performance tracking respectively. The platform allows cases to be obtained from real patients for an on-demand, hands-on authentic scanning experience for ultrasound learning.
Dr. Shravan Subramanyam, Managing Director, Wipro GE Healthcare and President & CEO, GE Healthcare South Asia said, ‘’As ultrasound continues to grow across medical fields, it is critical that clinicians are properly trained on the systems to tend to their patients effectively and efficiently, particularly in critical situations.’’
