Singapore: GE Healthcare Life Sciences, an unit of GE Healthcare, will build KUBio modular biopharmaceutical factory in China for JHL Biotech, which is a provider of biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing services.

The new factory will be situated in the Biolake Science Park in Wuhan, China, and will be fully operational beginning early 2015. KUBio is a new approach to readily setup manufacturing capacity in biopharma.

It delivers the customers with a fully functional, ready-to-run bioprocessing facility in 14-to-18 months, which is considerably shorter than constructing a traditional facility.

KUBio is pre-designed to meet cGMP requirements and helps manufacturers respond to local healthcare needs and support global customers in bringing life-saving treatments to market more quickly.
