Around 136,300 people died from HIV in China in 2013

Singapore: China is facing the burden of HIV and AIDS as the country's health authority reported 436,800 people infected with HIV or AIDS by the end of 2013 and around 136,300 died from the disease, according to figures from health authorities.

Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention mentioned that the mortality for the disease dropped to 6.6 percent in 2013 from 17.9 percent in 2005.
