Singapore: Starpharma Holdings was named the industry's 2012 Australian company of the year. The Janssen 2012 Industry Excellence Awards were announced in Melbourne at Australia's largest industry conference AusBiotech 2012, where Starpharma was awarded the top honour.

"This has been a break-out year for the company and to receive this acknowledgement from our industry peers is truly gratifying," said Starpharma CEO, Dr Jackie Fairley.

The Janssen 2012 Industry Excellence Awards - Company of the Year award - recognizes a biotechnology or life sciences company that has demonstrated a significant achievement or achievements during the year with reference to commercial deals, advancement of product pipeline, intellectual property, company strategy or revenue.
