Thailand sets up specialized medical volunteer units

The event brought more than 500 specialists, nurses, and pharmacists to open 19 specialized medical clinics and law clinics

Thailand's Ministry of Public Health in collaboration with the Medical Good Governance Foundation, the Medical Council of King Prajadhipok's Institute Medical Governance Certificate Program students For senior management, Class 8 (Por Por Por 8) and Sukhothai organized the project of the Volunteer Medical Unit, the 4th of the year 2020 in honor of His Majesty the King. The event brought more than 500 specialists, nurses, and pharmacists to open 19 specialized medical clinics, law clinics, financial Clinics, and free patient service in Sukhothai and nearby provinces.

On 8 Nov 2020, at Srisangvorn Hospital, Sukhothai Sukhothai Province Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health along with other medical sector professionals and leaders gave medical equipment to the disabled, including 20 wheelchairs, 50 prosthetic legs and giving eyeglasses to 173 children with impaired vision.

Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, said the Volunteer Medicine Unit Project was a voluntary work created by the cooperation of the university's medical administrators. Ministry of Public Health Department of Medicine 4, the army of Bangkok and local Private hospital and other government agencies issued a free medical examination in the Sukhothai Province and nearby provinces, which started the service in advance in February 2020.

It has already served more than 50,000 and has set a target for the treatment of 56,000 patients this year. On 7-8 November 2020, providing service at Sri Sangwan Hospital, Sukhothai Sukhothai Expected to have at least 5 people coming to receive the service with volunteer doctors, nurses and pharmacists from various medical institutions. Over 500 people participated in activities with scarce local medical equipment, providing services for examination, treatment, and surgery-free of charge to reduce waiting times for treatment of specific diseases in Sukhothai and nearby provinces.

For service, there are 19 medical clinics, consisting of cardiovascular clinics. Gastroenterological Clinic Rehabilitation Clinic Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine Clinic Resuscitation Clinic, ENT Clinic, Breast Cancer Clinic Orthopedic Clinic General health examination clinic, eye clinic, general surgery clinic and urology clinic Neurological Clinic (Stroke) Dermatology Clinic Dental clinic Monks Health Check-up Clinic Health Promotion Clinic Blood donation clinic Pulmonary Screening Clinic Blood Screening Clinic Financial Clinic and Law Clinic Ready to take care of all patients.
