Ms Joan Yan - The new general manager of Marken's Beijing office

Singapore: Global clinical supply chain solutions provider, Marken, appointed Ms Joan Yan as its new general manager for their Beijing office, effective July 1, 2013. Ms Yan will be responsible for the logistics operations in China and will also have administrative responsibility for the new depot facility which has recently been commissioned for the GMP storage and distribution of drug product and ancillary materials.

Ms Yan has more than 10 years of supply chain management experience, which includes both domestic and international transportation, customs brokerage, customer service and account management.

She joins the company from Ceva Logistics. Prior to Ceva, Ms Yan worked with DB Schenker China, Chunfai International and Perkin Elmer China. Over the years, she has accumulated significant logistics and multinational project management experience. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Beijing Capital University of Medical Science.

"Joan brings a very important balance of logistics, healthcare and technical expertise to Marken and will be an important part of our growth strategy in China. She will also be instrumental in blending our new depot facility, which is adjacent to our logistics operations, into our China business model which will offer a wide range of services to our pharmaceutical clients," he added.
