Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and Medtronic Vietnam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to improve medical training and education programmes nationwide. One of the highlights of this MoU is the implementation of 23 medical training programmes to help equip doctors, especially surgeons, with advanced medical knowledge and modern techniques.
Through this partnership, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital continues to strengthen its pioneering vision in applying and bringing innovative therapies closer to patients. Highlights include the first successful treatment using Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for epilepsy patients, and training programmes both at home and abroad to implement the new wireless pacemaker technique.
Comprehensive Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes are designed to accelerate the learning process for surgeons, helping them quickly master advanced techniques and improve surgical outcomes in the areas of spine, gastroenterology, etc. hernia and thoracic use of minimally invasive (MIS) methods.
In addition to CME programmes, Medtronic Vietnam also acts as a reliable partner of the hospital in enhancing the management of stroke and aortic valve stenosis through patient awareness programmes.
