Global biotech leader 10x Genomics has established its first dedicated R&D lab outside the US in Singapore. This new lab will support its mission of accelerating the mastery of biology to advance human health and meeting growing demand across emerging markets in Asia.
Most recently, 10x Genomics also launched Atera, a new platform marking a fundamental shift in how human biology and disease are understood. The next-generation innovation offers researchers a precise view of how diseases develop and progress at a cellular level within real tissues like organs and tumours, accelerating breakthroughs in discovery and translational research.
Together with established operations across manufacturing and commercial functions, 10x Genomics' new R&D lab will deepen capabilities within Singapore's growing precision medicine industry and create high-value engineering roles in the MedTech sector. Its R&D efforts will be bolstered by Singapore's talent development initiatives, national R&D platforms such as RIE2030, and a strong network of local partners across manufacturing and supply chains.
