AusBiotech, Australia’s leading national industry body representing more than 3,000 life sciences members, and Life Sciences Queensland (LSQ), the leading voice for Queensland’s biotechnology and health innovation sector, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen collaboration and advance Australia’s life sciences industry.
This agreement represents a strategic commitment to support the growth and resilience of Australia’s life sciences ecosystem. The MoU outlines an ambitious framework for cooperation, emphasising member engagement, knowledge exchange, and a unified approach to sector advocacy.
Dr James Campbell, Chair of AusBiotech, said, “We look forward to deepening our collaboration with LSQ and building synergies that amplify our shared strengths. Now is the time to unite our voices, drawing on the remarkable innovation and talent across states like Queensland. Queensland is a thriving hub for cutting-edge developments in biotechnology."
Dr Ryan Parlett, Acting CEO LSQ, said, "It’s an exciting time for the biotechnology sector both nationally and in Queensland, with new companies setting up, and existing companies establishing a presence here, creating skilled jobs and economic return for the state. We are delighted to sign this MoU and look forward to strengthening our partnership and collaboration with AusBiotech.”
