Australia-based Firebrick Pharma has announced the launch of its third product in the Nasodine range: Nasodine® Sinus Rinse. The product recently completed production and commercial product inventory is now available for launch to healthcare professionals in Singapore.
Nasodine Sinus Rinse is an antiseptic nasal and sinus wash kit. Saline-based nasal and sinus wash products have been used for some time to provide relief from sinusitis and related conditions. Nasodine Sinus Rinse is the first such product with the germ-killing power of povidone-iodine (PVP-I).
“At low concentrations, PVP-I is capable of inactivating the wide range of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses and fungi) that can be responsible for nasal and sinus infections,” said Dr Peter Molloy, Executive Chairman of Firebrick Pharma. “In Singapore, it will be aimed at hospital and healthcare professionals for a range of clinical uses.”
Each kit includes a sinus rinse bottle and 10 premixed sachets comprising povidone-iodine, as well as salt and xylitol. When reconstituted in 200mL of water (as directed), each sachet produces a sinus rinse solution containing 0.1% povidone-iodine (PVP-I).
Nasodine Sinus Rinse is the third product in the Nasodine range and complements its sister products, Nasodine Nasal Spray and Nasodine Throat Spray.
