Ranbaxy Chief Executive Officer named CEO of the year, Chericof cough syrup named emerging brand of the year, Volini and Revital crowned brands of the decade

Singapore: Ranbaxy received a rare distinction at the fourth Indian Affairs Business Leadership Awards 2013. The company's CEO, Mr Arun Sawhney, was declared the CEO of the year. With this award, the company entered the elite list of power brand in healthcare.

The open voting for the event was held across 60 days in 17 states and three countries by Indian Affairs juries and independent experts. While Chericof cough syrup received the emerging brand of the year award, Volini and Revital
were crowned the brands of the decade.

Receiving the award on behalf of the CEO, Mr Brijesh Kapil, VP, Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare (RGCH), said that, "Mr Sawhney is an industry veteran, with over three decades of international experience in the chemical and pharmaceutical arena. Mr Sawhney has been instrumental in the success story of Ranbaxy."
