Singapore: Sir Bob Geldof, widely recognised for his anti-poverty campaigns, slammed the developed nations for restricting funds to support HIV programs in developing countries and called it "disgraceful".

Speaking at AIDS 2014 conference held in Melbourne from July 20th-25th, Sir Geldof said that the HIV epidemic in low income countries is inextricably linked to poverty, and he strongly criticized wealthy nations for reneging on foreign aid commitments.
