Zotefoams on track with Poland facility

The focus now is on readying equipment for production

Zotefoams Plc, headquartered in London, UK, a pioneer in cellular materials catering to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare markets among others, has updated that the new facility in Brzeg, Poland, is on schedule for production to commence in Q3 of this year as planned.

The plant will add 50,000m3 – an increase of some 15% – to the annual global foam production capacity and the site is large enough to accommodate significant future expansion.

With construction and handover completed last October, the focus now is on readying equipment for production. The autoclave is on site along with ancillaries are and work is under way on installation and commissioning, with expected completion by the end of June. Last week saw the delivery and siting of nitrogen tanks and compressors – always an impressive operation.

All key technical roles have now been filled, with new colleagues dividing their time between the UK and Poland as they complete their training. Production roles are being recruited currently.

Group CEO David Stirling says, “Following the completion of investment projects in the UK and USA, I am delighted to report that we are also on budget and on track in Poland. The location of the new plant is key in terms of increasing flexibility and responsiveness through integrated global capacity. With significant foam production capability in the USA, UK and soon in central Europe, Zotefoams will be better placed than ever to serve our customers globally.”
