A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Singapore Ministry of Health (MoH) and Philippines Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) by Singapore Minister for Health, Ong Ye Kung, and the Philippines Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers, Hans Leo Cacdac.

Under the MoU, Singapore and the Philippines will enhance cooperation in healthcare human resource development. This includes upholding fair treatment and promoting the welfare of Filipino healthcare workers recruited to work in Singapore, and sharing best practices and support programmes that will develop their skills, which can benefit the development of healthcare in both Singapore and the Philippines.

The signing of the MoU reaffirms the close working relationship between Singapore and the Philippines, and demonstrates the shared commitment to enhance existing cooperation and establish new areas of collaboration.
