The platform aims to create community stakeholders through a centralised point for accessing information and promoting collaboration.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a new community-driven platform - the Knowledge Action Portal (KAP) - for information about noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), interaction and inspiration.
Hosted by the WHO Global Coordination Mechanism on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases (GCM/NCD), the platform aims to create community stakeholders through a centralised point for accessing information and promoting collaboration.
Key features of the KAP, as well as connecting stakeholders, include access to a range of campaigns, media, publications and data on NCDs.
As a community driven platform, the KAP relies on participation and support from stakeholders. The future direction of the KAP is therefore guided by what the community wants and needs.
