Singapore: DIA will conduct the Asia Regulatory Conference 2013 at Raffles City Convention Center in Singapore during January 28-30, 2013. The meeting is being organized by DIA in collaboration with IFPMA and HSA.

The three day event will see health authorities, local and multinational pharmaceutical companies, and clinical research professionals from the global regulatory organizations attend interactive presentations, exciting sessions, and explore new opportunities for better patient solutions.

The event will focus on various key topics, including the future of R&D of safer medicines; opening up dialogue with ongoing issues in the regulatory and technical areas in Asia; promoting greater unions of regulatory requirements in Asia; and encouraging stronger ties between Asian regulatory authorities and pharmaceutical industry.

The opening ceremony will begin with welcome remarks from Dr Ling Su, president, DIA board of directors and life sciences consultant, Sidley Austin, China. Additionally, Mr Toshiaki Miyoshi, MD, JPMA, Japan, on behalf of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA) and Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and Dr John C W Lim, CEO, health sciences authority (HSA), Singapore, will address the opening sessions.

"This meeting marks a turning point for DIA and its regions, especially in the Asian sector. We are striving to provide the best information globally to better serve our entire client base and all pharmaceutical, medical product, and regulatory professionals. This conference will specialize in corralling ongoing efforts to increase patient access to new and improved medicines," said Mr Paul Pomerantz, worldwide director, DIA.
