Singapore: Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Health for establishment and expansion of health centers in Jordan. The total cost was estimated to be $4.26mn dollars.

As per the deal, Korea would provide technical assistance for the centers and help in implementation of the processes. New health centers would be established to expand the existing Amman Health center.

Engineers and medical staff would be sent from Jordan to Korea in order to exchange knowledge and expertise with regard to the health centers.

Mr Han Young-tae, KOICA representative to Jordan said that it aimed at improving healthcare in Jordan. Minister of Health Mr Ali Hiasat appreciated the support of the Korean agency in this regard.

Mr Young-tae said that Korea was keen to enhance cooperation and help Jordan improve health services by sharing expertise knowledge and sending medical staff for volunteering in Jordanian hospitals.
