First-of-its-kind cell sorting technology supports researchers in gaining deeper cytometry analysis and biological insights to advance toward novel therapies
Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched the Bigfoot Spectral Cell Sorter in India. The first-of-its-kind cell sorting technology provides easy to use, high-speed cell sorting by complimenting conventional with spectral sorting and analysis. Thermo Fisher acquired cell sorting technology assets from Propel Labs, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SIDIS Corp, in 2021
Cell sorting enables scientists to isolate live, homogenous cell populations in studies involving stem cell differentiation, and cellular response to drugs. The insights are useful in genome editing, vaccine studies, drug and toxicity screening, and cell and gene therapy development.
Bigfoot Spectral Cell Sorter provides researchers with a solution for accelerating the sorting process, enabling flexibility in detection, and customizing product protection.
Bigfoot Spectral Cell Sorter accelerates sorting up to ten times faster than competitors. The instrument can be configured with up to nine lasers and 60 detectors, providing adaptability for both standard fluorescence detection and spectral unmixing. A custom-designed, built-in safety enclosure and an aerosol management system (AMS) provide safety and protection in a compact footprint.
