Singapore: China's State Council has recently devised a plan to improvise the country's rural medical care by deploying more doctors in the country side. The plan aims to ensure that every 1000 residents in the rural area have access to at least one doctor.

The State Council also aims at establishing village medical institutions and purchase of medical equipment through public-private partnerships and government subsidies.

As per the plan, rural doctors will enjoy extra perks in terms of free training and pay hikes. The State Council said in a statement that the allocation of medical resources to the country side will ensure affordable, convenient, and efficient medical service.

The proposal aims to establish one general hospital and one Traditional Chinese medicine hospital in all the states in the country. Private investments will be encouraged and coordination between grassroots medical institutions and general hospitals at county level and above will be improved.
