Singapore: Recently, Sartorius has inaugurated a new application center in Shanghai. The leading international laboratory and equipment supplier announced that the new center will serve as a training facility for customers, offering product demonstrations and trial runs.

The center can be used to test Sartorius products for cell cultivation, media and buffer preparation, sterile filtration, cross-flow purification, membrane chromatography, virus clearance and aseptic processing.

The center will also exhibit the company's vast range of lab instruments and consumables from balances, moisture analyzers, pipettes and water purification systems to filters and products for microbiological testing and quality control.

Mr Micheal Melingo, member of the Sartorius Group Executive Committee and in charge of marketing, sales and services of Sartorius' lab business, underscored the importance of Shanghai as a strategic and geographical hub for Sartorius in Asia. He said, "The center is closely located near biotech hotspots like Seoul, Tokyo and Singapore. The application center will showcase the latest industrial and technological trends."

Dr Jörg Lindenblatt, senior vice president of Sales Asia Pacific, Sartorius, said that the application center will provide hands-on experience of our vast range of biological products. "This will help distributors and customers to try and buy our products," he added.
