Singapore: Janssen's managing director for UK and Ireland, Mr Cesar Rodriguez has moved to take up a new role as the President of Xian Janssen in China.
The Chinese subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson's pharma division, Janssen has praised the move. "With almost two decades of work experience at Janssen in various commercial and senior leadership roles, Cesar will bring to the company in-depth understanding and insights on business strategy, a track record of delivering business growth in highly complex and diverse markets, and a career-long commitment to integrity and talent development," Ms Kim Taylor, company group chairman, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Asia Pacific said in a statement.
Having worked in Spain, Romania and Egypt, Mr Rodriguez said that he was looking forward to the challenges offered by a new market. "China faces tremendous unmet medical need, and I am excited to be joining Xian Janssen at a time when we are in an unparalleled position to serve that need and to bring important life-saving drugs to patients and families who need them," he said.
