The new product is a combination of the AseptiQuik sterile and Steam-Thru II SIP connectors
Singapore: Colder products, a leading player in connecting solutions, has announced the launch of its combination product, AseptiQuik STC connector. The product allows biopharma manufacturers to improve processes by lowering manufacturing costs, flexibility in design and plant configuration.
The hybrid of two connectors via a sanitary clamp, allows a sterile connection for a steamed-in-place (SIP) on a stainless steel equipment. A wide range of single use systems can be connected to the AseptiQuik sterile connector and Steam-Thru II SIP connector, offering Indian manufacturers with greater flexibility for hybrid stainless steel and single-use processing.
"This new product is the direct result of customer inquiries on how to SIP an AseptiQuik connector to stainless process equipment," said Mr Ernest Chan, director of sales, Asia Pacific, CPC. He added, "This functionality allows Indian drug manufacturers that employ both traditional and single-use bioreactors to utilize common bag systems and tubing manifolds, reducing SKUs and overall cost." The AseptiQuik STC connectors are offered in both a standard version for gamma sterilization and a high temperature (HT) version for autoclave sterilization.
