GSK probe leads to capture of main suspect

Singapore: A main suspect in the Chinese economic violations and bribery case involving GlaxoSmithKline has been captured from a small hotel in Zunyi's Suiyang country during an inspection in the country.

The suspect surnamed Guo was captured in Zunyi in Southwest China's Guizhou Province and had checked in under the alias of Yang Jie. The police found her to resemble the photo profile of a suspect wanted in the GSK China case.

Guo had been working for Xi'an China Travel Service in Shaanxi Province, had been wanted since late September for alleged involvement in business bribery totaling $3.27 million (20 million yuan).

The survey will now be transferred to the Shaanxi police.
