FHKI and CityU to strengthen medical Industry and Academia connection

Launches “Virtual Industrial Day” to showcase research and development projects of the team and students from medical, and artificial intelligence

The Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FTU) and the School of Engineering of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) jointly organized the "Virtual Industry Day" on 11 Sept 2020 to showcase more than 20 professors from the eight major engineering departments of City University and their scientific research.

The research and development projects of the team and students from medical, energy, transportation and artificial intelligence. The "Virtual Industry Day" also invited many representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions to attend the seminar to share professional opinions on the development and opportunities of emerging industries, as well as support for start-ups, and open the door for City University students to embark on the "road to industry". The event attracted more than 300 participants online and offline.

"Virtual Industry Day" uses realistic 3D web technology to make participants feel as if they are on the campus of CityU and browse more than 20 CityU's scientific research projects and students' innovation and technology plans in an all-round way. In addition, this "Virtual Industry Day" invites representatives from different industries to share the latest industry trends and talent trends, analyze employment and entrepreneurial prospects for students and graduates, and encourage them to join the industry.
