Sharing dedication for promoting global education and research opportunities
Australia-based Monash University and India’s Amity University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for the universities to explore new opportunities to collaborate across education and research.
Amity and Monash already have several articulation and credit transfer agreements in place that allow Amity students to complete part of their bachelor degrees at Monash. These agreements cover courses in the Faculty of Engineering, the Monash Business School, the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.
The MoU was signed as part of a visit by an Amity delegation to Monash, led by Group Vice-Chancellor Amity Universities and Director General of Amity Group Professor Gurinder Singh.
“Amity and Monash share a dedication to promoting global education and research opportunities for our students,” said Monash Acting Provost and Senior Vice-President Professor Sharon Pickering.
“This new framework will further deepen our connections with Amity and India, facilitating the creation of more opportunities for students from both universities to build the cultural competencies and global networks necessary to work and collaborate successfully across international boundaries,” she said.
