Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, recently held bilateral talks with senior French officials, including the Minister of Labour, Health, Solidarity and Families, Catherine Vautrin, the Minister of Health and Access to Care, Yannick Neuder, and Laurent Saint-Martin, Delegate of the Minister for Foreign Trade and French nationals abroad.
The talks focused on strengthening cooperation in the areas of health innovation, research, human resource development, investment promotion and supply chain resilience, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 for the health sector.
A highlight of the visit was the signing of several agreements, which are intended to strengthen and expand the health partnership between Saudi Arabia and France. The first project between Seha Virtual Hospital and Gustave Roussy aims to improve cancer care as well as digital health through AI-powered telemedicine.
Another agreement signed between Health Holding Company (HHC) and France Biotech aims to accelerate the development of health technology and life sciences ecosystems in both countries by supporting startups in the healthcare sector and promoting the integration of innovative technologies.
A third agreement between the Saudi Red Crescent and the Assistance publique-hôpitaux de Paris will strengthen cooperation in the field of emergency medical care, including joint training, knowledge sharing and best practices in emergency response.
