Purpose-built headquarters to support the pharmaceutical, vaccines and consumer healthcare businesses across multiple regions.
Singapore – GSK celebrated the official opening of GSK Asia House (GSKAH), the new commercial hub for more than half of its worldwide healthcare operations. The Singapore headquarters will house the senior regional leadership teams of the Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and Consumer Healthcare businesses and will work alongside the US hub to support its Global Headquarters in the UK to manage commercial activities around the world.
Located at One-North in the Rochester Park area of Singapore, it will enable GSK to better anticipate and respond to diverse healthcare needs across different markets, placing GSK in a leading position to support patients and consumers. The inauguration ceremony was officiated by Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies as the Guest-of-Honour together with Emma Walmsley, Chief Executive Officer of GSK Plc, in the presence of government officials, representatives from local health institutions, academic partners and GSK employees. Emma Walmsley said: “Asia represents an important growth opportunity for GSK and our investment in GSK Asia House reinforces our long-term commitment to delivering for patients, consumers and employees in Singapore and Asia.”
A foundation for future growth in Asia and beyond GSKAH will serve as the global home for several key business areas, and will be the base for the pharmaceuticals business in the Emerging Markets and International regions, the Consumer Healthcare businesses in Asia Pacific, as well as the Global Classic & Established Products business. Currently home to over 800 employees, the purpose-built building designed to foster better connectivity and collaboration, will help GSK anticipate and meet the changing healthcare needs of patients and consumers. GSKAH will also increase leadership and talent development opportunities in the region. Over 33% of GSK’s employees are currently based in the region.
