This role is focused on foods it is expected that you will have or quickly gain an understanding of manufacture and legislation related to dietary supplements and listed medicines to enable full implementation of the QMS in our complex business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving Vitaco’s quality culture through leadership in quality across the business
  • Supporting Vitaco’s Operational Mini Business Units (MBUs). Utilising MBUs to give purpose to teams and as a driver of our quality pillar
  • Compliance with and management of RMPs, FCPs and support programmes
  • Supporting Facility Manager in managing the Transitional Facility
  • Customer feedback management
  • Management of food co-manufacturers with respect to quality
  • Leadership and development of three direct reports
  • Development of good working relationships across the business and externally to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of the required quality outcomes

Qualifications and Attributes required:

  • Professional qualifications in the area of Food Science/Technology or similar
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food or supplement industries or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in managing quality assurance functions within a fast-paced and complex organisation
  • Proven experience in managing the day to day activities of premises operating under both RMPs and FCPs along with hands on HACCP experience.
  • Sound knowledge Official Assurance Specifications and of the MPI ecert system 
  • Auditing experience
  • A strong results orientation and continuous improvement mind-set
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and externally
  • Demonstrable success in leading and motivating teams
  • Good planning skills with the ability to prioritise, manage and track multiple tasks/projects
  • Demonstrable strong management and leadership experience
  • A strong methodical and analytical approach to problem solving along with excellent excel and analytical skills.
