Agreement aims to facilitate knowledge transfer and collaboration
Dubai Health Authority and UAE based VPS Healthcare have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and partnership and exchange experiences.
His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Director General of the DHA and Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and Managing Director of VPS Healthcare signed the MoU.
The MoU aims to facilitate knowledge transfer and collaboration in key healthcare areas.
The Dubai Health Authority delegation is currently on an official visit to India and is meeting leading healthcare institutions across Kerala, Bangalore and Mumbai.
Commenting on the MoU, Al Qutami said, “We aim to provide highest quality super specialized care to our patients and visitors and we work with leading healthcare organizations across the world to help us achieve this vision. This MoU provides us with an opportunity to collaborate in key healthcare fields.”
Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and Managing director of VPS Healthcare said, “VPS healthcare has a deep-rooted connect with the UAE and we are committed to collaborate in the healthcare sector with the ultimate goal of providing high quality healthcare.”
In Kerala, the Dubai Health Authority delegation headed by Humaid Al Qutami had visited VPS Lakeshore Hospital and Research Centre. Al Qutami was received by Dr Shajir Gaffar, Group Director, VPS Healthcare and SK Abdulla, CEO of VPS Lakeshore.
S K Abdulla, CEO of the hospital presented an overview of the specialties available especially the organ transplant facilities and the Liver Care Institute.
He highlighted the state-of-the-art techniques the hospital has adopted, the high-quality expertise they have and the importance of multi-disciplinary care in dealing with complex surgeries such as pediatric cancer cases and rarest-of-the-rare tumour cases.
