Samsung Biologics reported third-quarter revenue of KRW 1.49 trillion and operating profit of KRW 640 billion, supported by manufacturing activity in Korea and initial revenue contributions from its acquired Rockville facility in the US.
The company raised its full-year 2026 revenue growth guidance to 20%, from a previous range of 15–20%.
Plants 1 through 4 operated at full capacity, while Plant 5 contributed increasingly as production ramped up. Cumulative contract orders exceeded US$21.9 billion.
Alongside its manufacturing expansion, Samsung Biologics is pursuing the acquisition of PolyPeptide Group through its Swiss subsidiary, Samsung Peptide.
Definitive interim results showed that 87.59% of PolyPeptide shares had been validly tendered, exceeding the offer’s minimum acceptance condition. The offer was declared successful subject to its remaining conditions.
An additional acceptance period runs until 30 October. Completion is expected towards the end of 2026 or in the first quarter of 2027, subject to outstanding conditions and regulatory procedures.
PolyPeptide develops and manufactures peptide-based active pharmaceutical ingredients, supporting customers from preclinical development through commercial production. The proposed acquisition would extend Samsung Biologics’ services beyond its existing biologics capabilities.
Samsung Biologics has also announced a KRW 3 trillion rights offering to support strategic investments, including the planned acquisition and future manufacturing capacity.
