Singapore: In a PPP initiative Dr Satish Pawar, director health services, Mr Akhil Khan,vice chairman Ensocare, Dr Shakil Khan, managing director Ensocare and Mr Milan Rao, COO Wipro GE healthcare inaugurated the first largest healthcare in India, at Pune. With the investment ranging around total of Rs 18 crores, Aundh district Hospital, and a government hospital will be providing state-of the art diagnostic facilities to all the citizens with Ensocare's efforts.

Dr Pawar, director health service commented "I congratulate the colossal efforts of the Maharashtra Government, Ensocare and Wipro GE which have resulted in this one-of-its kind Diagnostic center."

The hospital will be equipped with 1 unit of 64 slice CT scan, 2 units of 3d color doppler and radiography units amongst others which have been got hold from Wipro GE. These advanced equipments will lend a hand in early diagnosis and treatment of all orthopaedic, gynecological and obstetric disorders, upper and lower respiratory disorders, all neurological, abdominal and nephrotic disorders. With the increase in the cases of breast cancer, womens health will be given a special boost with the inclusion of 1 screening mammography unit.

Dr Akil Khan, vice-chairman, Ensocare expressed "More than 305 patients who visit Government hospitals in Pune are unhappy with the treatment they receive. Hence the opportunity as provided by this PPP will help us change the dynamics of healthcare in the city as well as country."

The diagnostic center will run on 24/7 basis under the vigilance of experts from Ensocare. The services will be provided at government recommended rate cards for the benefit of all patients enrolled under the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayi Aarogya Yojana plus all 19 categories under government resolution for free medical services. The center holds the capacity of treating about 450-700 patients per day. The newly set up Diagnostic center is established to meet the growing need of superlative diagnostic care at affordable prices to the needy.

Furthermore, Dr Shakil Khan, managing director, Ensocare added "We are excited to announce the start of operations of our first center and thank the support and the presence of the Government to help us create meaningful impact on the wellbeing of overall Indian society. Currently our focus lies in providing value added services and free treatments for the extreme bottom of the pyramid patients with the help of IT innovation, cutting edge technology and well-trained medical staff of the city. Moving forward we are investing time in building our management bandwidth and operational capabilities to execute better radiology and diagnostic facilities at 21 other centers across the state."
