Mumbai: BioEnable Technologies, a leading identification and tracking solutions company based in the city of Pune, India, has introduced a new infant protection system for new born identification, monitoring, tracking and security solutions. The system raises the security of infants and pediatric patients to a new level.

The system is based on wireless technology and consists of a transmitter that is tied to the ankles of children in order to keep track of their movement inside a hospital. The systme is expected to grant a major relief against issues including infant abduction and baby mix ups, which has been a common fear among hospital administration in India for quite some time now.

In addition to real time location detection, the device is also attached to an alarm system that triggers off automatically on the removal of BioBaby Protect tag. The system can support a huge number of tags in a single installation. Each tag is paired with another one that is worn by the mother.

According to Mr Pradeep Bhatia, MD, BioEnable Technologies, "This solution is illustrates the openness and provides technologies to healthcare for the security of mother and new born baby. Together with BioBaby protect system; we are helping improve the satisfaction and security of hospitals."
