Charles River Laboratories has announced a new collaboration with MEDIPOST, Inc. focused on advancing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) testing solutions for cell therapies.
Established through a non exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the collaboration will support the growing global demand for high quality, reliable testing services required for the development and commercialisation of advanced cell and gene therapies.
Under the agreement, both organisations will work together to strengthen GMP testing capabilities designed to support therapy developers across various stages of the product lifecycle, helping accelerate the transition of innovative cell therapies from laboratory research to clinical and commercial readiness.
Cell therapies continue to emerge as a transformative area within regenerative medicine and advanced therapeutics, creating increasing demand for robust quality control, safety testing, and regulatory compliant manufacturing support. Through this collaboration, Charles River Laboratories and MEDIPOST aim to enhance testing efficiency, improve product quality assurance, and support faster development timelines for therapy developers worldwide.
“Collaborations that combine scientific expertise and specialised testing capabilities are essential to advancing the future of cell therapies,” the companies stated. “Together, we are committed to supporting innovation that brings potentially life changing therapies closer to patients.”
The partnership further reinforces the growing importance of integrated GMP testing ecosystems within the rapidly expanding global cell therapy sector, particularly as developers seek scalable, compliant, and commercially ready manufacturing pathways.
