CPHI South East Asia 2026 brought together more than 11,000 pharmaceutical professionals from over 70 countries at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.
Held from 8 to 10 July 2026, the event featured 369 local, regional and international exhibitors from 25 countries, covering pharmaceutical raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, processing technologies and other parts of the regional and global supply chain.
Rungphech “Rose” Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director for ASEAN at Informa Markets, said the event supported efforts to position Thailand as a central hub for Southeast Asia’s pharmaceutical industry.
Buyers, manufacturers, distributors and technology providers used the three-day event to evaluate products, discuss sourcing requirements and explore potential partnerships.
More than 4,000 business-matching requests were generated through the event’s matchmaking platform and on-site facilitation services.
The scheduled meetings connected decision-makers across the supply chain, including procurement leaders, technical directors and regulatory specialists. Discussions covered supplier qualification, pricing, regulatory support and longer-term supply agreements.
The event also delivered more than 90 scientific, technical, regulatory and market-focused sessions.
Topics included AI-enabled forecasting, contamination-control strategies, sustainable pharmaceutical packaging and next-generation mRNA platforms beyond vaccines.
Dedicated exhibition zones and company showcases featured novel drug-delivery systems, emerging manufacturing platforms and technologies intended to reduce environmental impact and improve energy and resource efficiency in pharmaceutical operations.
Delegations and buyer groups attended from ASEAN markets as well as Bavaria, China, Egypt, India, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand.
Country pavilions, organised tours and networking sessions were used to connect participants with suppliers and partners suited to different regulatory and commercial requirements.
Future editions are expected to place greater emphasis on biopharma, complex generics and advanced formulations, alongside broader coverage of the end-to-end pharmaceutical value chain.
Informa Markets also plans to expand digital matchmaking tools, introduce additional thematic zones and deepen engagement with regulators and industry leaders.
CPHI South East Asia 2027 will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur from 13 to 15 July 2027.
