The diagnostic industry will witness two major trends; one is that standalone diagnostic centers are becoming obsolete as people don't have the time to get tests done at different locations. Comprehensive setups are on the rise. Specialty diagnostic centers that provide a one-stop solution for all kinds of tests are gaining popularity.

Second is that growing patient awareness on preventative healthcare is now forcing diagnostic centers to move up the value chain in terms of equipment; there is higher quality consciousness and standardization in the way diagnostic centers or departments work. This standardization has led to consolidation in the supply chain and bigger players in diagnostics are now purchasing in bulk for their centers across the country.
