Bayer Korea appoints a new CEO

Singapore: Bayer Korea recently announced the appointment of Ms Ingrid Drechsel as its new CEO. The company said in a statement that Ms Drechsel will manage Bayer's business units in Korea including healthcare, crop science and material science.
"I am pleased to join Bayer Korea and work in this fast-growing Asia-Pacific region," said Ms Drechsel as quoted by the Korean Times. "Based on my 30 years of experiences in marketing and sales in different global markets, I will do my best to develop Bayer Korea and contribute to Korean society, especially in the lifescience field."
Ms Drechsel had earlier served as an interim CEO of Bayer pharma in Indonesia. Majored in biology at Heidelberg University in Germany, Ms Drechsel has experienced various decision-making positions at the Germany-based pharmaceutical company.
