Mumbai: Thermo Fisher Scientific recently introduced new large-capacity Thermo Scientific Heratherm microbiological incubators in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin-America and Africa.

The new products complete the range of Heratherm microbiological incubators, adding two more sizes for high sample volume or larger samples, that of 400 and 750-liter capacity. The general protocol incubators are designed for routine applications in pharmaceutical, medical, food and research laboratories. The gravity convection provide gentle airflow and minimal drying out for samples. Also safety features include two measuring sensors and an automatic over-temperature alarm for peace of mind. The intuitive user interface and large vacuum fluorescent display are designed for ease of use.

The Advanced Protocol Security incubators come with mechanical convection technology for temperature performance, keeping sample environment stable, even according to highest requirements. The unique 140° C decontamination cycle is comparable to sterilization, supporting the scientist in avoiding sample contamination. A sophisticated timer function, under-temperature and door alarms are additional features that make work easier and safer.

Additionally, Thermo Fisher Scientific also enhanced their line of laboratory instruments for cold storage with the introduction of the Thermo Scientific PL6500 series of laboratory refrigerators and freezers for general-purpose applications in non-regulated environments. Designed to provide the best protection for precious samples, the PL6500 series offers cold storage equipment that covers temperature ranges from +4 °C to -40 °C. With secure closing and effective temperature recovery following door opening, samples are protected against multiple freeze-thaw events.

Maintaining the integrity of valuable samples is an absolute requirement in any scientific setting. The PL6500 series is designed to ensure that specimens in storage are subject to a constant, stable and uniform temperature range, with minimal variation across the storage compartment. This equipment is engineered with fluorine-free high-density insulation for effective heat rejection, which reduces energy consumption and noise levels.

The Thermo Scientific PL6500 series comes with an intuitive user interface that includes audio and visual alarms to alert users to significant changes in compartment temperature.
